A car cannot move from body to paint without the photos you require: seam sealer, corrosion protection, the structural repair. The tech shoots them from the board. The insurer and the customer get what they need without anyone asking.
Firm dates, not hopeful ones
The promise date is provisional until the last part scans in. Then it locks. The customer gets one date that holds instead of three that do not. When a part slips, the date moves before anyone is disappointed.
Exception flags
No next step. Parts late. Supplement open past four days. Tech not clocked on. The board flags it. The production manager sees it. The Rundown reports it if nobody fixes it.

What is a body shop production board?

How are delivery dates set?
Provisionally at check-in based on labor hours and parts ETA, then locked when the last part arrives. The customer is told the firm date once.
Can techs update the board from the floor?
Yes. Techs move cars and shoot required photos from their phone or a shop tablet.
Does it replace the whiteboard?
Yes. TV mode puts the board on a screen in the shop so the whole crew sees the same thing.
Does it work with CCC ONE workfile status?
