The short version: use this site lawfully and don't abuse it. The free quiz and audit are information, not a guarantee of what your shop will earn or what any insurer will pay. The paid software has its own agreement.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply to this website and the free tools on it. Body Shop GM is operated by BodyShopGM, a company based in Los Angeles, California. "We", "us", and "our" mean BodyShopGM. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
The site is meant for collision repair businesses and the people who work in them. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a form.
The paid software is covered separately
Use of the paid Body Shop GM software is governed by a separate subscription agreement between Body Shop GM and the shop. These terms cover only this website and its free tools. If these terms and a subscription agreement conflict about the software, the subscription agreement controls.
Using the site
You may use the site to learn about Body Shop GM, to use the free tools, and to contact us. The information you submit must be accurate, and you must have the right to submit it.
The free tools
The Shop Scale Quiz and the free estimate audit are informational. They are based on what you give us and on general repair and estimating practices.
- They are not a guarantee of results, revenue, savings, or cycle time.
- They are not a guarantee of what any insurer or other payer will approve or pay.
- Operations the audit identifies are items to review. You decide what belongs on an estimate, based on the vehicle, the repair, and the applicable procedures.
- Sample figures on the site are for illustration. They are not customer results unless we say so.
Only upload estimates you have the right to share. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle them.
No professional advice
Nothing on the site is legal, financial, tax, insurance, or repair procedure advice. Follow vehicle manufacturer repair procedures and talk to a qualified professional about your specific situation.
Intellectual property
The site and its content, including text, graphics, designs, tools, and the Body Shop GM name and logo, belong to Body Shop GM or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and print pages for your own business use. You may not copy, republish, or sell site content without our written permission.
You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us permission to use it to respond to you and to provide what you asked for, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or violate anyone's rights while using the site.
- Submit false information or pretend to be someone else.
- Upload files that contain malware or that you have no right to share.
- Try to get into systems or data you are not authorized to access.
- Disrupt the site or put an unreasonable load on it.
- Scrape or copy the site with automated tools without our written permission.
- Reverse engineer the site or its tools, except where the law allows it.
Third-party trademarks and links
CCC ONE, Mitchell, and Audatex are trademarks of their respective owners. Body Shop GM is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by them. We name them only to describe the estimating systems that Body Shop GM works with.
The site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers
The site and the free tools are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or accurate in every detail.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Body Shop GM is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, that arise from your use of the site or the free tools. This applies even if we were told the damages were possible.
Some places do not allow some of these limits. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything relating to this website or the free tools is limited to one hundred US dollars.
Governing law and venue
The laws of the State of California govern these terms, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to this website or these terms is brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
Changes
We may change the site or these terms. When we change the terms, we will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
General
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term, that is not a waiver of it.
